I think the new technology spear heads free enterprise. The phone companies for year have had a strangle hold on consumers wallets, and have had a cash Cow for years. Clearly if the Bells want to hold on to the market share than maybe the should improve thier Service be offering a competitive flat long distance of thier own. Givin that technology gets cheaper every than it stands to reason that the prices should also go. Also if the bells want to hold on to market share than maybe they should improve thier service and network quality. My local phone line is so bad that I can not even get a reasonable internet connection. So why would I want to support old technology. I should be able to fire the Verzion and have a cheaper more reliable choice.
