From a technical standpoint there is no differance between pushing e-mail, or VOip, through TCP/IP. (The internet) So I find the idea of regulating one kind of data to be opressive. So my own opinion is that unless the market looks like it would need it, regulations shouldn't be enforced with the VOip industry. The one cavet that I have with this is the question of how to work with E911 systems. From my perspective an entirely new routing system would be needed to make it work.
