January 28, 2000 CABLE SERVICES BUREAU ACTION CABLE SERVICES BUREAU TO HOLD PUBLIC FORUM ON PROPOSAL OF AT&T CORPORATION AND MEDIAONE GROUP, INC. TO TRANSFER CONTROL OF LICENSES CS DOCKET NO. 99-251 The Cable Services Bureau will convene a Public Forum on the proposal of AT&T Corporation ("AT&T") and MediaOne Group, Inc. ("MediaOne") to transfer to AT&T the control of licenses and authorizations held by subsidiaries of MediaOne and entities controlled by MediaOne. The proposed transfer of control would take place as the result of the merger of AT&T and MediaOne, with AT&T becoming the parent of MediaOne. The purpose of the Public Forum is to assist the Cable Services Bureau in its review of the proposal, to provide an opportunity for further discussion of issues raised in the proceeding, and to gather additional information that may be relevant. The Bureau has requested that AT&T and MediaOne and several interested parties and organizations make presentations at the Public Forum. The Public Forum will be held on February 4, 2000 at the Federal Communications Commission in the Commission Meeting Room, 445 12th street, SW, Washington, D.C. 20554. It will begin at 9:00 am and continue until approximately 4:00 pm. All interested persons are invited to attend. Seating will be available on a first come, first served basis.
