Washington, D.C. ---Today, The Enforcement Bureau of the Commission announced that, Lisa Burns Griffin has been named Assistant Chief of the Enforcement Bureau's Market Disputes Resolution Division (MDRD). For the past six months, Ms. Griffin has served as a Staff Attorney in MDRD. Prior to that assignment she served as a Trial Attorney in the Litigation Division of the Office of General Counsel. Before joining the Commission, Ms. Griffin was a litigation partner in the firm of Ross, Dixon & Bell, L.L.P. (formerly Ross, Dixon & Masback ) in Washington, D.C. Ms. Griffin received a B.S. from Cornell University and a J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School.
In addition, Lia Royle and William Davenport have been appointed Special Counsel in MDRD. Before joining the Commission as a Staff Attorney in MDRD last year, Ms. Royle was a partner in the New York and Washington, D.C. offices of Anderson Kill & Olick. She received a J.D. from Columbia University, an M.A. in Jurisprudence from Oxford University, and a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Before joining the Commission as an MDRD Staff Attorney last year, Mr. Davenport was a senior litigation and telecommunications associate at the Washington, D.C. office of Preston Gates & Ellis. He received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania and his B.A. from Northwestern University.
