Washington, D.C. - The Federal Communications Commission today entered into a Consent Decree with Samson Technologies, Inc. (Samson) that resolves possible violations of 47 U.S.C. § 302a(b) and 47 C.F.R. § 2.803(a) concerning Samson's importation and marketing of certain models of multi-track music recording devices.
As part of the Consent Decree, Samson will make a $26,500 voluntary payment to the U.S. Treasury and will implement a Compliance Plan aimed at preventing future violations of the Commission's equipment regulations.
Action by the Commission on December 8, 2004, by Order (FCC 04-282) Chairman Powell, Commissioners Abernathy, Copps, Martin and Adelstein.
