	STATEMENT OF FCC CHAIRMAN WILLIAM E. KENNARD REGARDING CONSENT DECREE BETWEEN THE COMMISSION AND MCI WORLDCOM
	Today MCI agreed to pay the largest slamming payment in the history of the Commission and to substantially change their behavior toward their customers. This action puts the entire industry on notice that consumers should not be hoodwinked over the phone. We have zero tolerance for slammers. - FCC -
