Informed by input to a Bureau Public Notice seeking comment on the response to the 2017 Hurricane Season, 1 this workshop is intended to ensure the Commission is collecting the critical information necessary to best support the preparedness and response activities of stakeholders to facilitate the availability and reliability of communications during emergencies, disasters, and significant events. The workshop will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. in the Commission Meeting Room at FCC Headquarters, 445 12th Street, SW Washington, DC 20554. Advance registration is not required. Audio/video coverage of the meeting will be broadcast live with open captioning over the Internet from the FCC's web page at www.fcc.gov/live. The FCC’s webcast is free to the public. A detailed agenda will be announced by a subsequent public notice and posted on the web page. In addition to open captioning, reasonable accommodations for people with disabilities are available upon request.
