After a preliminary review of the FCC long-form applications (FCC Form 601), applications for 33 licenses were accepted for filing. Thus far, we have announced that we are prepared to grant 81 applications for 901 licenses. By this Public Notice, the Bureau announces that it is prepared to grant the applications for these 331 licenses listed in Attachment A of this Public Notice upon the full and timely payment of the remaining balance of each applicant's winning bid. Such payment must be received by the Commission within ten (10) business days of the date of this Public Notice (i.e., by June 21, 2000). See 47 C.F.R. 22.215(a), 1.2109(a). If a winning bidder fails to pay the balance of its winning bids in a lump sum by the applicable deadline as specified by the Commission, it may pay the remaining balance within ten (10) business days after the payment deadline (i.e., by July 6, 2000), provided that it also pays a late fee equal to five percent of the amount due. See 47 C.F.R. 22.215(a), 1.2109(a). A winning bidder listed on Attachment A who fails to pay the balance of its winning bid by the late payment deadline of July 6, 2000, will be considered in default and subject to the applicable default payments. See 47 C.F.R. 22.207, 22.215(a), 1.2104(g), 1.2109(c). Such applicants will be assessed default penalties as proscribed by sections 22.207, 22.215(a), 1.2104(g), and 1.2109(c) of the Commission's rules.
