               WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS BUREAU
           COMMERCIAL WIRELESS DIVISION APPROVES THE
            WITHDRAWAL OF 4 APPLICATIONS FOR REVIEW
               OR PETITIONS FOR RECONSIDERATION 
  Action Taken Pursuant to Settlement Public Notice DA 99-745

     As indicated below, petitions for reconsideration or applications for review were filed
against decisions in the following 800 MHz SMR finder's preference cases.  In each case, the
finder and the target licensee or the target's successor licensee ("Parties") have settled the dispute
and have requested that the petition(s) for reconsideration or application(s) for review, as well as
the underlying finder's preference request(s) be withdrawn.  The Division has reviewed the
petitions for reconsideration or applications for review and finds that they raise no substantial or
material questions of fact under Sections 309 and 405 of the Communications Act, as amended,
47 U.S.C.  309 and 405.  The Parties have also requested that the finder's preference award be
set aside in the following cases: 96F012, Call Sign WPCF292 and 94F130, Call Sign WNQY264. 
The Division reinstates these licenses, without judging the merits or establishing any judicial
precedent.  The Division hereby approves the withdrawals of the petitions for reconsideration or
applications for review and the set aside of the finder's preference awards in accordance with
sections 0.331, 1.106, 1.115, 1.935, and 90.173(k)(1994) of the Commission's rules and Public
Notice, DA 99-745.
