ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REGARDING
      RESUBMITTED APPLICATIONS FOR THE NOVEMBER 13, 1995
MULTIPOINT DISTRIBUTION SERVICE AUCTION

     On October 16, 1995 the Commission announced the status of applications to
participate in the auction of 493 authorizations to provide single- and multi-channel
Multipoint Distribution Service (MDS), scheduled to begin on Monday, November 13, 1995. 
See "FCC Announces the Status of Applications to Participate in Auction of Multipoint
Distribution Service," Public Notice, released October 16, 1995.  The notice indicated that
applicants with incomplete FCC Form 175-M applications could resubmit their applications
by October 30, 1995 to correct minor deficiencies.  The notice also indicated that applicants
who previously filed their applications electronically would have to resubmit the corrected
applications electronically, while applicants who filed manually could resubmit either
manually or electronically.  As previously announced, only those applicants who file
electronic applications will be permitted to bid electronically; manual filers may bid only by
telephone.  See "FCC Announces Auction of Multipoint Distribution Service," Public Notice,
released September 5, 1995.

     In response to inquiries, we clarify that applicants who filed Form 175-M
applications manually that have been accepted for filing may also use the resubmission
period to file electronically.  If an electronic refiling is deficient for any reason, the
applicant will be permitted to participate in the auction on the basis of its accepted manual
filing, but will not be allowed to bid electronically.  (Applicants whose electronic
applications were accepted for filing will not be permitted to resubmit a manual application.)

     All applicants planning to resubmit an application for this auction should study
carefully the information set out in the MDS Bidder Information Package and the October
16, 1995 Public Notice, particularly as they describe certain types of major changes that
cannot be made upon resubmission.  We suggest that applicants resubmit their applications
well in advance of the October 30, 1995 deadline, to allow sufficient time to deal with any
unforeseen difficulties.
