COMMISSION CHANGES DATE FOR
C BLOCK LICENSEES TO ELECT PAYMENT OPTION
(WT Docket No. 97-82)
Today the Commission voted unanimously to change the election date for Broadband Personal Communications Services (PCS) C block licensees to select a payment option from the options set forth in the Commission's September 25, 1997, Second Report and Order and Further Notice of Proposed Rule Making. This action gives C block licensees until 60 days after publication in the Federal Register of the Commission's forthcoming Order on Reconsideration to select their payment options. The Commission also changed the March 31, 1998 payment deadline for both C and F block licensees to a date that is at least 30 days after the revised election date.
Action by the Commission, February 24, 1998, by Order (FCC 98-28). Chairman Kennard, Commissioners Furchtgott-Roth, Powell and Tristani with Commissioner Ness concurring and issuing a separate statement.
