FCC TO HOLD OPEN COMMISSION MEETING

The Federal Communications Commission will hold an Open Meeting on the subjects listed below on Thursday, November 18, 1999, which is scheduled to commence at 9:30 a.m. in Room TW-C305, at 445 12th Street, S. W., Washington, D.C.
TITLE: Implementation of Video Description of
SUMMARY: The Commission will consider a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking concerning the accessibility of video programming to persons with visual disabilities.
TITLE: Deployment of Wireline Services
Offering Advanced Telecommunications Capability
(CC Docket No. 98-147); and Implementation of
the Local Competition Provisions of the
Telecommunications Act of 1996 (CC Docket No.
*REVISED SUMMARY: The Commission will consider a Third Report and Order in CC Docket No. 98-147 and a Fourth Report and Order in CC Docket No. 96-98 regarding whether advanced services are tele-communications services subject to section 251; incumbent LEC obligations to unbundle the high frequency portion of the loop; and spectrum management and spectrum compatibility issues.

Ensure Compatibility with Enhanced 911
