	FCC ELECTRONIC FILINGS TO BE INTERRUPTED Web Site, Databases, and Telephone Service Will Be Affected
	Starting at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) on Friday, April 5, through 1:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) on Sunday, April 7, 2002, access to the electronic filing systems of the Federal Communications Commission will be temporarily interrupted while preventative maintenance is performed at the Commission's headquarters location. Attached is a list of the electronic filing systems that will be affected. In addition, access to the entire FCC web site, electronic databases and other information, and telephone service will be interrupted during this time. Electronic mail sent to the FCC during this time will be queued for delivery when the system is restored on April 7. Accordingly, all documents filed electronically should be filed before 9:00 p.m. EST on April 5 and after 1:00 p.m. EDT on April 7, 2002. Requests for extensions of time for operational problems associated with the Commission's electronic comment filing system should be filed in paper with the Secretary. See 47 C.F.R § 0.231 (i). Requests for extensions in other services are governed by rules for those individual services, and should also be filed with the Secretary. Please check the "FCC Electronic Filing & Public Access Systems" page at www.fcc.gov/e-file/ after 1:00 p.m. EDT on April 7 to confirm their status.
