He is relocating to North Carolina for family reasons. Newman will be joining McKinsey and Company as Senior Telecommunications Practice Expert. William E. Kennard, chairman of the FCC said, "I want to thank Stagg for his enthusiastic service to the Commission. Stagg's energy and insight in working on the critical interplay of technology and policy, particularly in the areas of broadband access, advanced services, and convergence, have been invaluable as we have implemented the '96 Act."
