NEWS March 2, 1998 CHARLES W. (BUCK) LOGAN NAMED CHIEF, POLICY & RULES DIVISION, MASS MEDIA BUREAU Charles W. (Buck) Logan has been named Chief of the Policy & Rules Division of the Mass Media Bureau. Logan was previously Chief of the Legal Branch in the Mass Media Bureau's Policy and Rules Division. He joined the Commission in 1994, and has worked on a number of Commission proceedings involving the broadcast ownership rules, children's educational television rules, and other Mass Media issues. Prior to joining the Commission, he practiced communications law as an associate at the law firm of Covington & Burling in Washington, DC, from 1989 to 1994. Logan clerked for Judge Levin H. Campbell of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit from 1988 to 1989, and was a Bigelow Fellow and Lecturer in Law at the University of Chicago Law School from 1987 to 1988. He received his bachelor's degree in economics from Harvard University and his law degree from Yale Law School. He is a member of the District of Columbia and Massachusetts bars. - F C C -
