WASHINGTON, D.C.–Upon release of the FCC report on "no urban/Spanish dictates' and "minority discounts", Congressman Bob Menendez (D-NJ) said: "This FCC report demonstrates through documented evidence what minority-owned radio stations have been telling us for years: that many advertisers use racial stereotypes instead of marketing data to make business decisions. The practice of paying less money for ad time to minority-formatted radio stations than general market stations with the same audience share must not be tolerated. These practices undermine the American promise of equal treatment and opportunity."
