FCC ANNOUNCES NEXT MEETING OF THE CONSUMER/DISABILITY TELECOMMUNICATIONS ADVISORY COMMITTEE - NOVEMBER 30 |

The Consumer/Disability Telecommunications Advisory Committee (hereinafter "the
Committee") will hold its next meeting on November 30, 2001, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the
Federal Communications Commission's headquarters building, Room TW-C305, 445 12th Street,
SW, Washington, DC 20554. On November 30, 2000, the Federal Communications Commission announced the establishment of the Committee. Its purpose is to make recommendations to the Commission regarding consumer and disability issues within the jurisdiction of the Commission and to facilitate the participation of consumers (including people with disabilities and underserved populations) in proceedings before the Commission. The Committee is organized under, and operates in accordance with, the provisions of the Federal Advisory Committee Act, 5 U.S.C., App. 2 (1988) (FACA). DATE, TIME, AND LOCATION OF COMMITTEE MEETING The Committee will hold its next meeting on November 30, 2001, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Federal Communications Commission's headquarters building, Room TW-C305, 445 12th Street, SW, Washington, DC 20554. The meeting will be open to the public. Minutes of the meeting will be available for public inspection at the FCC headquarters building and will be posted on the Commission's website at www.fcc.gov/cib/cdtac. The meeting will be broadcast on the Internet in Real Audio/Real Video format with captioning at www.fcc.gov/cib/cdtac. The meeting will be sign language interpreted and realtime transcription and assistive listening devices will also be available.
