VOLUNTARY WITHDRAWAL OF PETITION CC DOCKET NO. 99-169 Released: August 9, 1999 On June 30, 1999, Global NAPs South, Inc. (Global NAPs) filed a pleading styled as "Voluntary Withdrawal of Petition." On May 10, 1999, Global NAPs had requested, pursuant to section 252(e)(5) of the Communications Act, that the Commission preempt the jurisdiction of the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission (PUC) with respect to an arbitration proceeding involving Global NAPs and Bell Atlantic. In its June 30 pleading, Global NAPs states that it is withdrawing its petition to preempt the jurisdiction of the Pennsylvania PUC with regard to its dispute with Bell Atlantic. As the petition for preemption of the jurisdiction of the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission regarding this interconnection dispute has been withdrawn, this proceeding (CC Docket No. 99-169) is terminated.
