On March 11, 1998, the Bureau released two Public Notices seeking comment on proposed modifications to various ARMIS reporting requirements. The Bureau established a deadline of April 9, 1998, for interested parties to file comments concerning these proposed modifications, with reply comments due to the Commission by April 30, 1998. For the reasons below, we extend the deadline for filing initial comments until April 24, 1998. We extend the deadline for filing reply comments to May 15, 1998. 2. The Commission, on its own motion or on petition, may waive any provision of its rules or orders if good cause is shown. Although the Commission does not routinely grant extensions of time, the Commission is committed to providing interested parties a reasonable time for submission of comments and replies. We note that many parties interested in filing comments in these proceedings are required to file their annual ARMIS reports by April 1, 1998, and would face an undue burden under the original deadlines for submitting comments and replies. Therefore, on our own motion, we find good cause to extend the deadlines for filing comments and replies in these proceedings. The new filing deadlines should provide interested parties with a reasonable time to prepare and submit comments and replies for these proceedings. 3. Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED, pursuant to Sections 0.91 and 0.291 of the Commission's Rules, 47 C.F.R. 0.91 and 0.291, that the time for filing comments in the above- captioned proceedings is extended to April 24, 1998. 4. IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the time for filing reply comments in the above-captioned proceedings is extended to May 15, 1998. FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION Kenneth P. Moran Chief, Accounting and Audits Division
