NEWS April 6, 1998 CRAIG BROWN NAMED DEPUTY CHIEF, COMMON CARRIER BUREAU ACCOUNTING POLICY DIVISION Craig Brown has been appointed Deputy Chief of the Accounting Policy Division of the FCC's Common Carrier Bureau. Since November 1995, Brown has served as an Attorney-Advisor in the Policy and Program and Planning Division of the Common Carrier Bureau, where he worked on issues relating to the implementation of the local competition provisions of the Telecommunications Act of 1996. Prior to joining the FCC, he was an associate at the law firm of Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering in Washington, D.C. Brown received a J.D. cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 1992. He clerked for the Honorable Edmund V. Ludwig of the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Northwestern University in 1986. - FCC -
