NEWS March 20, 1998 JOHN LOGAN NAMED ACTING CHIEF OF CABLE SERVICES BUREAU John E. Logan has been named Acting Chief of the Commission's Cable Services Bureau, effective Monday, March 23, 1998. Logan succeeds Meredith J. Jones, who is leaving the Commission. Since April 1996, Logan has been Deputy Chief of the Cable Services Bureau, Federal Communications Commission. Prior to his present position, he was Deputy Director of the Commission's Office of Legislative Affairs. Logan came to the Commission in February 1994 after having served in several senior positions at the Department of Justice, having commenced his career there in 1980. At the Department of Justice, he was the recipient of the John Marshall Award for Outstanding Legal Achievement and the Attorney General's Management Award.
