Applications for radio station construction permits to modify the facilities of broadcast stations (minor change applications) currently pending before the Audio Division of the Media Bureau can be found in the two lists below. These lists are arranged by file number, corresponding to the date filed. These lists are generally updated on the 1st and 15th of each month, or the first business day thereafter.

Applications which are otherwise acceptable for filing but which cannot be acted upon are listed on the Blocked list by file number along with the reason for their being blocked. The most frequent reasons are:

• lack of FAA clearance ;
• tower not registered with the FCC at http://wireless.fcc.gov/antenna/;
• lack of Canadian or Mexican concurrence;
• conflict with a pending rulemaking or prior-filed first come / first served application;
• or inadequate showing regarding compliance with FCC guidelines for human exposure to radiofrequency emissions.

In some cases more than one category may prevent the completion of processing for an application, although only one category can be shown on the blocked list.

Applicants listed on the Blocked list who have submitted information or amendments which they believe will resolve the blockage are encouraged to contact Claudia Patterson (claudia.patterson@fcc.gov) (202-418-2700) of the Audio Division so that processing on that application may promptly resume. An additional copy of an amendment (in a separate envelope) may be sent to the Audio Division (Mail Stop 1800B3 / Room 2-B450, FCC, 445 12th Street SW, Washington, DC 20554; or faxed copies to 202-418-1411 or 202-418-1410), so that the staff may begin work on the amendment promptly. Where a tower registration on Form 854 is received from the FCC relating to a blocked application please fax a note containing that registration number to the Audio Division at 202-418-1411 or (202)-418-1410 with the file number of the application and station call sign, so that we will know that registration is complete.

These lists will generally be updated and made available to the public on the 1st and 15th of each month or the first business day thereafter. Applications filed within 30 days of the date of the list are not included nor are petitions for reconsideration and applications for review associated with previously dismissed or returned applications. The lists also do not include major change applications.
