As an organization, MAPVI is always striving to give visually impaired children throughout Massachusetts the information that is available to their sighted peers. This is a daunting task at best! We have recently begun a lending library of descriptive videos and the children are using and enjoying the videos. This is one small way to make information available to our children. MAPVI and its families look forward to the day when we can bring our children to any movie theater or have them watch any television program and have description enhancement available to them. We strongly support all efforts to continue the progress that has been made in making the media accessible to our children and all visually impaired people. As a statewide organization, we do much to provide information and experiences to hundreds of families and children, and we need the type of support that can come from the Federal Communications Commission. We hope that you will join us in our commitment to equal access for blind and visually impaired children. Sincerely, Judy Westgate MAPVI Treasurer 22 Old Marlboro Road Maynard, MA 01754 No. of Copies r& d r LiSihPCrjE 1
