 The  proposed  rule  on  audio  description  for  television  programs  is 
 unnecessary.  My  husband  and  I  are  both  blind.  We  have  been  listening  to 
 television  for  more  than  40  years.  We  do  not  have  trouble  understanding 
 plots  or  following  shows.  If  the  FCC  wishes  to  do  something  constructive 
 for  blind  persons,  please  issue  a  rule  requiring  the  announcement  of 
 emergency  weather  information,  phone  numbers,  sports  scores,  and  other 
 information  that  is  written  on  the  bottom  of  the  screen.  Thank  you  for 
 considering  my  views.
