        FURCHTGOTT-ROTH REACTS TO NESS ANNOUNCEMENT
  
       Susan Ness has had a long and distinguished career as a Commissioner at the
  Federal Communications Commission.  She will be greatly missed.  Commissioner Ness
  brings tremendous energy and enthusiasm to all issues before the Commission, and she has
  developed substantial expertise in issues ranging from digital television to international
  satellites to telecommunications services for schools and libraries.  Her keen intellect and
  dedication to public service have been great assets to the Commission and the Nation.  I
  am sure that I join everyone at the FCC in thanking Commissioner Ness for a job well
  done and in wishing her all the best in her future endeavors.
