If you need the complete document, download the WordPerfect version or Adobe Acrobat version, if available. *****************************************************************DA 02-28 January 10, 2002 THE WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS BUREAU AND MASS MEDIA BUREAU ANNOUNCE THE RELEASE OF A FACT SHEET REGARDING THE MARCH 16, 2001 ANTENNA COLLOCATION PROGRAMMATIC AGREEMENT In this public notice, we announce the release of a Fact Sheet to provide guidance regarding the Nationwide Programmatic Agreement for the Collocation of Wireless Antennas (Programmatic Agreement), which was executed March 16, 2001.1 The Programmatic Agreement applies to wireless and broadcast facilities and streamlines procedures for review of collocations of antennas under the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), 16 U.S.C. §§ 470 et seq.2 The Fact Sheet is attached to this public notice. This Fact Sheet provides guidance regarding the implementation of the Programmatic Agreement for the Commission’s wireless and broadcast service licensees, applicants, tower companies, and tower owners. It also provides guidance to State Historic Preservation Officers, Tribal Historic Preservation Officers, and other interested parties. However, such guidance does not amend or act as a substitute for the text of the Programmatic Agreement or the Commission’s rules. The guidance also does not amend or act as a substitute for the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation’s rules (except to the extent the Programmatic Agreement itself substitutes for those rules).
