The Wireless Telecommunications Bureau website can be accessed at www.fcc.gov/wtb. The new search engine is fully functional and is being deployed on the WTB website as a test for two weeks for integration throughout the FCC site. It searches throughout the WTB website, including auction information, as well as information throughout the FCC website. Information is collected from all web pages and many types of documents. Documents found within the FCC's Electronic Document Management System (EDOCS) are also searched to provide users greater availability to information. At this time, information is not collected from electronic filing systems or other database systems. Currently, information on searching these systems can be found at the FCC Search Page at http://www.fcc.gov/searchtools.html. This new search engine represents a significant step in our development of services within the WTB and will have a direct and positive impact on our website visitors. The use of this technology will enhance the overall usability of our information services. The new search option is located on the WTB homepage (www.fcc.gov/wtb) inside the left-hand navigation bar. It is also available with enhanced features at http://search.fcc.gov. To initiate a search, insert relevant words or phrases into the textbox and click go. This initiates a search on the FCC website returning links to all documents and web pages containing relevant information. The search tool will be expanded in the future and deployed throughout the FCC website. Consumer feedback is greatly appreciated and will assist in the Bureau's continuing efforts to improve public access to information. - FCC - If you have questions or comments, please contact the WTB by email at search@fcc.gov.
