Wireless Telecommunications Bureau to Conduct Universal Licensing System (ULS)
           Interactive Demonstrations August 17, 2000
    Demos Scheduled on License Search/Application Search and
 Microwave Application Filings in ULS, with Preview of Land Mobile Filing  

     The Federal Communications Commission's (FCC's) Wireless Telecommunications Bureau (WTB)
will conduct interactive demonstrations of its Universal Licensing System (ULS) Thursday, August 17,
2000.  WTB also is seeking comments and suggestions from those interested in attending such
demonstrations in order to better coordinate and design the events.  

     The Bureau will hold demonstrations at the FCC's headquarters in Washington, D.C. in the ITC
Training Room on the 12th Street level (main entrance level) of the Portals building at 445 12th Street, SW.
     
The topics for the demonstrations will be as follows:

Morning session    License Search/Application Search, from 10:00 am until noon

Afternoon session   Microwave Application Filings in ULS, with a Preview of Land Mobile Filing, from
1:00 pm until 4:00 pm.

     WTB has chosen the above topics based on comments from previous demonstrations and will add,
delete or modify future demonstrations as interest dictates.  The Bureau plans to hold ULS demonstrations
on additional wireless services as they are deployed.

you would like to attend, your firm or organization, and provide a telephone number and e-mail address
at which you can be contacted.  You may also indicate what specific service(s) are of most interest to you.
Seating is limited and will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.  (Note: the ITC Training Room
accommodates up to 14 persons per session, and an attendee may have to share a computer monitor with
another attendee.)
