        REGION 5 (SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA) 700 MHz
          PUBLIC SAFETY PLANNING COMMITTEE 
               ANNOUNCES SECOND MEETING
                           
                                             
By this notice, the Region 5 (Southern California) 700 MHz Public Safety Planning Committee
announces that its second meeting will be held on June 21, 2000 at 10:00 a.m., P.S.T., at the Long
Beach City Library at 101 Pacific Avenue, Long Beach, California.  The purpose of the meeting is
to:

       1. Approve minutes of 1st meeting,
       2. Review NCC progress,
       3. Review requests for spectrum and ask for any new or missed requests,
       4. Form workgroups to develop the regional plan, and
       5. Address any new business.

All interested parties wishing to participate in the planning for the use of new public safety spectrum
in the 700 MHz band should plan to attend.  For further information, please contact:
