  WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS BUREAU TO CONDUCT MORE UNIVERSAL
LICENSING SYSTEM (ULS) INTERACTIVE DEMONSTRATIONS IN FEBRUARY 2000
Demonstrations on License Search/Application Search and Microwave Application Filings in ULS
                  Scheduled February 17 and 18
                                
     The Federal Communications Commission's (FCC's) Wireless Telecommunications Bureau (WTB)
will conduct additional interactive demonstration of its Universal Licensing System (ULS) in February
2000.  WTB also is seeking comments and suggestions from those interested in attending such
demonstrations in order to better coordinate and design the events.

     WTB will conduct a demonstration on February 17 at the FCC's office in Gettysburg, PA.  (Note:
directions to the Gettysburg office from the Washington, DC area are included as Appendix A to this
Public Notice.)  The Bureau will hold a demonstration on February 18 at the FCC's headquarters in
Washington, DC, in the ITC Training Room on the 12th Street level (main entrance level) of the Portals
building at 445 12th Street, SW.

Both demonstrations will have the same format:

  ·  License Search/Application Search (with an emphasis on Microwave filings), from 10:00 am until
  noon; and

  ·  Microwave Application Filings in ULS, from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm

     WTB has chosen the above topics based on comments from previous demonstrations and will add,
delete or modify future demonstrations as interest dictates.  The Bureau plans to hold ULS demonstrations
on additional wireless services as they are deployed.  Input also is requested on future topics for the
demonstrations.

session(s) you would like to attend, and provide a telephone number and e-mail address at which you can
be contacted. You may also indicate what specific service(s) are of most interest to you. Seating is limited
and will be assigned on a first come, first served basis, and requests will be limited to one attendee per
session per organization, company or firm.  (Note: the ITC Training Room accommodates up to 14 persons
per session, and the Gettysburg office training room accommodates up to eight persons per session.  An
attendee may have to share a computer monitor with another attendee.
