              WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS BUREAU'S
  COMMERCIAL WIRELESS DIVISION APPROVES SETTLEMENT WITHDRAWING
4 APPLICATIONS FOR REVIEW, CANCELLING 27 SMR LICENSES, AWARDING 27
    FINDER'S PREFERENCE REQUESTS, AND DISMISSING 16 RENEWAL
                         APPLICATIONS.
                                
Action Taken Pursuant to Public Notices, DA 99-1734 AND DA-99-745

         On September 16, 1999, the petitioners/finders listed below filed a consolidated Application
for Review (Application) against a decision by the Deputy Chief, Wireless Telecommunications
Bureau (Bureau), Commercial Wireless Division involving the 27 licensees below.  The
petitioners/finders have agreed to withdraw their Application.  In addition, three licensees have
agreed to withdraw three Applications for Review and dismiss numerous renewals of the
underlying licenses.  The Bureau's Commercial Wireless Division (Division) cancels the 27
licenses and awards the finder's preference requests according to the respective finders in each
case listed.  Further, the Division has dismissed 16 pending renewals.  The Division has further
reviewed the proposed settlement and hereby approves the withdrawal of the Applications for
Review in accordance with  0.331, 1.106, 1.115, 1.935, and 90.173(k)(1994) of the
Commission's rules and the Public Notice waiving limitations on settlement agreements among
parties in contested licensing cases.
