              WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS BUREAU 
      APPROVES WITHDRAWAL OF PETITION FOR RECONSIDERATION

     On July 25, 1997, Metrocall USA, Inc. (Metrocall) filed a Petition for Reconsideration (Petition) of
the Narrowband Branch's June 25, 1997, decision to dismiss its application to relocate call sign
KNKF249 operating on 75.60 MHz at Haymarket, Virginia. 
          
     By letter dated November 23, 1999, Metrocall requested withdrawal of its Petition.  The Policy and
Rules Branch of the Commercial Wireless Division has reviewed and hereby approves Metrocall's
request to withdraw its Petition for Reconsideration, filed on July 25, 1997.
