WTB Sponsors Seminar of Universal Licensing System
The Wireless Telecommunications Bureau (WTB) of the Federal Communications Commission
(FCC) will host a half-day seminar on the Universal Licensing System (ULS) on Thursday, March
19, 1998. This seminar will be held in the Commission Meeting Room, Room 854, 1919 M
Street, N.W. beginning at 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The ULS is being developed to replace the
ten existing wireless license processing systems. The seminar will feature a demonstration of a
prototype of the ULS system and will provide attendees with information about the development
and implementation of this system.|
The ULS is internet accessible and provides electronic filing, registration and search capabilities via a personal computer (PC) equipped with FCC prescribed software (e.g. industry standard browser, etc.) and internet access via a service provider of choice.
Contact the Auctions Division of the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau at (888) 225-5322 (press option #2 at the prompt) to register and for general registration information. Reserved seating will be provided for pre-registered attendees. On-site registrations will be given on a first- come first-serve basis until room capacity is filled.
The seminar will be shown on closed-circuit television throughout the Commission. Video and audio duplications will be available after the seminar from the Commission's duplicating service, Infocus. Please contact Carole Clifton at (703) 834-0100.
