     WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA (REGION 36) PUBLIC SAFETY PLANNING 
            COMMITTEE ANNOUNCES REORGANIZATION MEETING
                      (PR DOCKET NO. 92-274)                

                                 
By this notice, the Western Pennsylvania (Region 36) Public Safety Planning Committee
announces a meeting to reconvene the Committee, nominate and elect officers, and conduct the
Region's business.  The meeting will be held on June 24, 1997 at 1:00 E.S.T. at the South West
Training Center in Greenburg, Pennsylvania.

In accordance with the Public Safety National Plan, each region is responsible for planning its
use of public safety radio frequency spectrum in the 821-824/866-869 MHz bands.  Report and
Order, General Docket No. 87-112, 3 FCC Rcd 905 (1987).  The Region 36 Planning Committee
is responsible for planning public safety radio frequency spectrum usage in the Western
Pennsylvania area covering the 39 counties West of the Susquehanna River.  Order, PR Docket
No. 92-275, 7 FCC Rcd 7701 (1992).  The Regional Committee solicits active participation by
representatives of eligible entities.  Interested parties should write, email, call, or fax the Acting
