           NOTIFICATION OF CORRECT DOCKET NUMBER FOR COMMISSION
          RULEMAKING CONCERNING PREEMPTION OF STATE AND LOCAL RF
                                REGULATIONS

 On August 25, 1997, the Commission released a Second Memorandum Opinion and
Order and Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM), FCC 97-303, seeking comment on
procedures for reviewing requests for relief from state and local regulations involving
radiofrequency (RF) emissions.  Comments on the NPRM were due on October 9, 1997, and
reply comments are due on October 24, 1997.

 A few copies of the NPRM were inadvertently distributed with an incorrect docket
number.  The Wireless Telecommunications Bureau reminds the public that the correct docket
number for this rulemaking proceeding is WT Docket No. 97-192.

 Parties that have filed comments in this proceeding with the incorrect docket number are
not required to file corrected versions.  Their comments have been placed in the correct docket.
