INFORMATION CONCERNING THE SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE RULE CHANGES ADOPTED IN THE REFARMING SECOND REPORT AND ORDER (PR DOCKET NO. 92-235)

Today, the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau begins accepting applications consistent with the Commission's decision in its Second Report and Order (Second R&O) in PR Docket 92-235. The new rules consolidate the Private Land Mobile Radio (PLMR) Services below 512 MHz into two broad pools (Public Safety and Industrial/Business). The new codes appear in the instructions for completing the FCC Form 600 in editions dated 9/97. Applicants are encouraged to use editions of the FCC Form 600 dated 9/97 and later.
