               WIRELINE TENTATIVE SELECTEE FOR MARKET 53A

Market 53 A - Syracuse, NY MSA                        

On November 22, 1994, Step Ten Cellular Partners (Step Ten) was announced as the tentative
selectee for the unserved area in the Syracuse, NY MSA under File No. 10099-CL-P-053-A-93.
Southwestern Bell Mobile Systems, Inc. filed a petition to deny on March 14, 1995.  Both parties
filed a consent motion for extension of time on April 6, 1995.  On  August 11, 1995, Step Ten
wrote to the Commission and requested dismissal of its application.  Accordingly, pursuant to
Section 22.128(a)(2) of the Commission's Rules, Step Ten's application is dismissed without
prejudice February 23, 1996.  The Commission dismisses the petition to deny as moot and grants
consent motion for extension of time.
