(Viking) filed applications and associated requests for waiver of the Commission's Rules to establish a Private Mobile Radio Service Dispatch system that would provide dispatch communications to entities eligible for licensing under Part 90 of the Commission's Rules on a not-for-profit, cost-shared basis. Viking plans to provide two-way dispatch communications to persons eligible in the Public Safety Radio Services, Special Emergency Radio Service, Industrial Radio Services, and Land Transportation Radio Services. The system would operate in the 896-901/935-940 MHz band. Viking requests rule waivers to permit use of up to 40 channels and to permit the system to provide service on channels allocated to the Industrial/Land Transportation Category (I/LT) to entities eligible in the Business Radio Service. In the first filing, a waiver was also requested so that all channels authorized at remote or satellite sites in the system would be afforded primary protection. Interested parties may file comments on the waiver requests on or before April 28, 1995, and reply comments on or before May 5, 1995, with the Secretary, FCC, 1919 M Street, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20554.
