The above-captioned 800 MHz Specialized Mobile Radio (SMR) licensees have requested additional time to construct their respective authorizations. In each instance, the licensee failed to complete construction and begin operation within the amount of time allotted by the Commission's rules. Neither of the licensees filed his request for extension of time prior to the expiration of his construction period, and in each instance, the licensee has failed to show that the failure to commence service was due to causes beyond his control. We therefore deny their requests. 2. Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED that pursuant to section 4(i) of the Communications Act, as amended, 47 U.S.C.  154(i), and section 90.167 of the Commission's rules, 47 C.F.R.  90.167, the requests for additional time to construct filed by the above-captioned licensees ARE HEREBY DENIED.
