                             ORDER

   Adopted:  October 5, 1999            Released:  October 5, 1999

     1.  On December 19, 1996, AmeriCom I Cellular (AmeriCom) filed an Informal Objection to the Phase
II Cellular Unserved Area Application filed by Wichita SMSA Limited Partnership.  On January 17, 1997,
the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau dismissed Wichita SMSA Limited Partnership's Phase II Application,
thus rendering AmeriCom's Informal Objection moot.  
     
     2.  Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED that, pursuant to Section 4(i) of the Communications Act of 1934,
as amended, 47 U.S.C.  154(i), and Sections  0.331, 1.41, and 22.128, of the Commission's rules, 47 C.F.R.
 0.331, 1.41, and 22.128, the Informal Objection filed by AmeriCom I Cellular on December 19, 1996, IS
DISMISSED AS MOOT.
