NEWS April 30, 1998 JAMIE RUBIN TO LEAVE THE COMMISSION Jamie Rubin has announced that he will be leaving the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau on May 7, 1998, to join the New York investment bank Allen & Co. as an associate in the Corporate Finance group. Allen & Co. is a small family-owned firm best known for its work in media and entertainment, both as a financial and strategic advisor and as a principal investor. Rubin most recently served as Legal Advisor to the Chief of the Wireless Bureau. From December 1996 until August 1997 he worked for former FCC Chairman Reed E. Hundt as Director of the Education Technology Task Force, helping craft the $2.25 billion initiative now known as the Schools and Libraries Corporation. He is a graduate of Harvard College and Yale Law School. -FCC-
