September 26, 1996 KAREN GULICK JOINS THE WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATIONS BUREAU AS ASSISTANT BUREAU CHIEF; WTB CLARIFIES FRONT OFFICE POLICY RESPONSIBILITIES Karen Gulick has been named Assistant Bureau Chief of the FCC's Wireless Telecommunications Bureau. Ms. Gulick replaces former Assistant Bureau Chief Jennifer Warren, who left the Commission on September 20 to join Lockheed Martin. Prior to her appointment in the Wireless Bureau, Ms. Gulick served as an interim Legal Advisor to Commissioner Susan Ness. Prior to her work with Commissioner Ness, she worked in the Office of General Counsel as Special Counsel to General Counsel William E. Kennard. In the Office of General Counsel, her responsibilities included appellate litigation and legal advice on administrative and constitutional law. Ms. Gulick joined the Commission in 1995. Ms. Gulick previously practiced law in the Washington office of Latham & Watkins, where she worked in the litigation and communications practice groups. From 1993 to 1994, she was a law clerk to Judge Jane R. Roth of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Ms. Gulick received her law degree from Yale Law School and her B.A. in History from Stanford University.
