Communities and individuals must have a voice on their local airwaves. I applaud the microradio workers who have brought this need to the FCC's attention. They certainly do not qualify as pirates in their fight for our right to free speech and should not be denied licenses. Frankly, the offerings of corporate dominated media provide little value. Government agencies have no business encouraging their monopoly at the expense of citizens. Legitimizing low watt radio stations remains long overdue.
