Dear FCC, I am in favor of keeping the code requirements as close to the same as possible. I realize that many will say that you can use a radio without morse code, but the basic idea behind the amateur radio program is to have a base of citizen trained to provide communication in the case of an emergency. The most reliable form of radio communication is still morse code. I worked hard to get my Extra class license and I am rather annoyed that there is a group out there that thinks they should have the same privileges as I do without having to do the work. God forbid if the amateur radio operators are ever called in because of a war time situation on American soil, radio bands might be jammed to the point that voice would be impossible. CW would be the only means to get a message through. Imagine a pool of Extra class Hams that were not up to the task. Jim KE4IHI
