FY 2000 Common Carrier Regulatory Fees
Public Notice; Correction





On August 2, 2000, the Commission issued its annual public notice concerning payment of common 
carrier regulatory fees for FY 2000 following the adoption of a new fee schedule in Assessment and 
Collection of Regulatory Fees for Fiscal Year 2000, MD Docket No. 00-58, 65 FR 44575 (July 18, 
2000) (Report and Order).  The public notice included cellular, personal communications services 
(PCS)  and specialized mobile radio (SMR) regulatees among entities subject to the interstate 
telephone service provider (ITSP) fee if they have sufficient interstate and international revenues.  
See, e.g., pp. 2, 7.  This was not the case prior to FY 2000.

The Report and Order did not specifically indicate that the fees in question would be                     
collected from these regulatees in FY 2000.  Therefore, the portions of the public notice that made 
reference to collecting the ITSP fee from cellular, PCS and SMR regulatees are rescinded, and the 
ITSP fee will not be collected from these entities this year.  To reflect this correction, the fourth 
paragraph on page 2 of the public notice is rescinded and additional revisions are made to pages 7 
and 9 of the notice.  The corrected public notice (see attachment) is hereby republished in its entirety.
