November 6, 1997 LARRY STRICKLING NAMED CHIEF, COMPETITION DIVISION Larry Strickling has been named to serve as Chief of the Competition Division of the Office of the General Counsel. Strickling has served as the Chairman of the Commission's Enforcement Task Force since September and will continue to direct its efforts in his new position. Prior to joining the Commission, Strickling served as Vice President of Public Policy for Ameritech, where he was responsible for developing and implementing Ameritech's state and federal regulatory and legislative agenda. Before joining Ameritech in 1987, he was a partner with the law firm of Kirkland and Ellis in Chicago. Strickling is a graduate of the Harvard Law School and a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Maryland. - FCC -
