  PORTIONS OF FCC OFFICE OF PUBLIC AFFAIRS TO MOVE TO PORTALS 
                      EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 2

     As of November 2 portions of the Office of Public Affairs will be relocated to the
Portals.   This first group to move will include the Public Service Division, the Technology
Staff, and part of the OPA front office and News Media staffs. 

     The Portals building is at 445 12th St., SW.

     The remainder of the OPA staff, including part of the front office and News Media
staffs, the Reference Operations Division, including the library, and the television staff, will
remain at their present locations for the time being.

     Press distribution will continue at 1919 M St., NW, until further notice.

     All phone  and fax numbers will remain the same.
