               PAYMENT DUE DATES FOR FY 1996 REGULATORY FEES


On July 1, 1996, the Federal Communications Commission adopted a Schedule of Regulatory
Fees for Fiscal Year 1996 (FY 1996).  A copy of that schedule is attached.  The following due
date deadlines have been established for collection of FY 1996 regulatory fees:  

(1) Regulatory fees in the common carrier, commercial wireless, mass media, cable television
and international services (except those listed in paragraph (2) below) are due between
September 12, 1996, and  September 20, 1996.  (In view of difficulties experienced in prior
years, regulatees in this category choosing to submit regulatory fee payments electronically are
requested to submit their payments within the first two business days of the payment period.)
  
(2) Regulatory fees for Geosynchronous Space Station licensees, Intelsat and Inmarsat
Signatories, and Low Earth Orbit Satellite System licensees are due on September 30, 1996.

(3) Regulatory fees from applicants who pay advance license fees of $7.00 or less (which must
be paid along with their application fee) for each of their license term for new, renewal or 
reinstatement for private wireless service licenses, are due starting  September 12, 1996.
  
Unfortunately, since the time period for collecting fees is extremely limited, we are unable to
offer installment payments for FY 1996.
  
The Commission will issue Public Notices containing specific guidelines and payment
instructions for common carrier, commercial wireless, mass media, cable television and
international services.  The Public Notices will contain any required fee remittance forms.
