NEWS November 28, 1995 SUZANNE TOLLER NAMED LEGAL ADVISOR TO COMMISSIONER CHONG Suzanne Toller has been named Legal Advisor to Commissioner Rachelle Chong, effective November 27, 1995. She will be handling wireless and cable matters for the Commissioner. David Furth, Commissioner Chong's interim legal advisor, will continue to assist Commissioner Chong on wireless and cable matters through the December 15, 1995 FCC agenda meeting, and then will return to the Wireless Bureau. Ms. Toller will take over responsibility for Commissioner Chong's wireless and cable matters as of December 16, 1995. For the past year, Ms. Toller has served as counsel for CMT Partners, a partnership of AT&T Wireless and AirTouch Communications, Inc. CMT Partners operates nine cellular telephone systems in the San Francisco Bay Area and Kansas. Her responsibilities included ensuring compliance with local, state and federal laws and regulatory requirements; representing the cellular companies before the California Public Utilities Commission ("CPUC") and in state court litigation matters; and negotiating and drafting contracts. Prior to joining CMT Partners, Ms. Toller was an associate with the law firm of Morrison & Foerster in San Francisco. As a member of its Communications Group, Ms. Toller represented a variety of communications clients, including cellular telephone companies, a paging company, interexchange carriers and a publishing and cable company in a broad range of matters before the CPUC and in state court litigation. Ms. Toller received her J.D. cum laude in 1987 from Harvard Law School. She received her B.A. magna cum laude in 1984 from the University of California, San Diego. She is a member of the California Bar. Ms. Toller and her husband currently live in San Francisco, California but are looking forward to their move to Washington, D.C. - FCC --
