Cohen has announced that he will leave the Commission on July 17, 1998, to return to private law practice.   xCohen joined the FCC staff in April 1993 as Special Assistant to the Chairman, coming  x=from the White House, where he was Assistant Counsel to the President in the Office of  xPresidential Personnel. He also has served the Commission as Senior Counsel in the Office of  xPlans and Policy, Assistant Chief for Law of the Mass Media Bureau, and Associate Chief of the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau.   !xBefore entering government service, Cohen was an attorney in Washington, D.C.,  xspecializing in corporate, telecommunications and media matters.
